What is the Cost Involved in Registering a Company in NSE/BSE?

Registering a company on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) or Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) involves certain costs. These costs vary depending on factors like company size, market capitalization, and additional compliance requirements.

1. Application Fees

The application fee is charged during the initial submission of documents. For NSE, the fee starts at ₹10,000 plus GST. For BSE, it starts at ₹25,000 plus GST, depending on the company’s category and application type.

2. Listing Fees

Once approved, companies are required to pay a listing fee. This fee is calculated based on the company’s market capitalization:

  • NSE: Ranges from ₹50,000 to ₹3,00,000 annually.
  • BSE: Ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹10,00,000 annually.

3. Additional Compliance Costs

Companies must also bear additional compliance costs, such as legal and consulting fees, audit fees, and costs associated with meeting corporate governance standards. These expenses can range from ₹5,00,000 to ₹25,00,000 or more.

4. SEBI Registration Fees

SEBI charges a one-time registration fee for companies conducting an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The fee is calculated at 0.03% of the issue size, with a maximum cap of ₹50,00,000.

5. Total Estimated Costs

The overall cost for registering and listing a company on NSE or BSE can range from ₹10,00,000 to ₹50,00,000 or more, depending on the company’s scale and specific requirements.
